Oakmont Regime Architectural Change Procedure

 

 

 

This procedure applies to any changes a unit owner wishes to make to the interior or exterior of their property or limited common area.  Changes do not include repairs to existing structures when the repair restores structures to their original form.

Interior painting is not considered a change.

 

1)    Obtain a change form from COMANCO from their website at www.comancoinc.com or by calling 410-721-7171 Ext 130.

2)    Complete the form and send it to our property manager at COMANCO (property manager), along with any supporting material (e.g. color chips, diagrams, material samples).

3)    The Board of Directors must approve changes and they meet every other month, so plan ahead for this delay.  The Board can expedite review of changes for a $10 fee.

4)    Notice will be sent to the applicant with the Board’s decision.  If the change is denied, the homeowner may appeal to the Board and schedule a hearing.  If the change is approved, the homeowner may proceed immediately with the project.

 

It is always a good idea to call the Architectural Committee Chairperson (Architectural Control Committee Chairperson), and discuss your change with them before you do a lot of work.  They know our rules and regulations and can help guide you before you waste time on options that might not be acceptable.
